Ltd., Technopark - as a hobby article, since I am interested in these areas. Here is some views, suggestions & tips from my side: · Professional websites follows pure-white background, for others… your choice · Add a hitcounter to the site, if you hate its appearance, we can put a hidden hit counter. So that we can analyze the frequency of visitors per month · A sitemap page, which will help search engines for easy crawl · If Newsletter signup is there, why can’t keep these newsletters as achieves and let visitors read online? · Need contents! contents! contents! . · Try to develop HTML 4.01 Traditional Website (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yoursite.com) · Make your site w3c CSS compliant(http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.yoursite.com%2F&usermedium=all) · You need to submit our site link(s) to not just search engines but also on directories. Note: if your website passed w3c validations you can use logos like this and give visitors feel that we develop international standard products, if you are a development firm. SEO Tips (for the designer/developer) · While text content generation, give more emphasis to words which we think people use commonly for searching. · Submit url to search engines and directories · Let other websites give link to our site · Add <title>, DESCRIPTION and KEYWORDS tags The proper syntax for this HTML tag is: <meta NAME=”Description” CONTENT=”Your descriptive sentence or two goes here.”> </meta><meta NAME=”keywords” CONTENT=”word1, word2 …”> Also give more descriptive TITLE rather than just giving “PIT Solutions” (All pages must have these tags) · AVOID FRAMES. If you are using FRAMEs, be careful about the main pages · User <a> anchor tag for links. DO NOT USE any scripts for doing this. · Create more text links through out the page · We need to put a SITEMAP Page · Keep text as text, don’t try to embedded in to images or flash or applets!!! · Place keywords in <h> tags, use bold and italic keywords, put keywords in bulleted lists (search engines take note of these things) · User keywords multiple time on the page. · When you place images on the web page, it’s a good idea to put ALT attribute with meaningful content · It is a good idea to create a custom 404 Error page, which is displayed in the browser if the server is unable to find a page.
