NinethSense Login Validation Script is now part of PHPKode‏

October 27th, 2010 No comments

This script was written by me in PHP very long back (at least 7-8 years back).

Today I have a mail in my inbox stating it is published in PHPKode.com

This was a cool reminder for me which give me information “I coded this long back”.

Microsoft Office 2010 for Rs.1000, from Microsoft Store

October 26th, 2010 No comments

Microsoft is offering the Home and Student edition of Office 2010 for Rs.2999 (3-computer license). This is available from Microsoft India Store.

Having surprised the world by giving for free the fully-functional version of Office 2010 Beta, Microsoft India is doing its part by slashing the price of the Home and Student edition from Rs.4999 to Rs.2999. The license is for a 3-computer license, effectively bringing down the price per computer to under Rs.1000. The package includes MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote. Of course, Outlook and Access are available only to the  Business and Professional editions. But the price cut indicates that Microsoft is seriously responding to threats from Google Docs and Open Office. In fact, all Office 2010 editions also offer working with your documents online, which means, you can work on your documents either offline on your licensed system, or online on any system with an internet connection!

A word of warning: All Microsoft products since Vista have high “validation checks”. So, if you are using any pirated Microsoft product, understand that installation of this licensed product may cause your system to become unstable. Be sure – use only original Microsoft products.
